Before you startMechanic gloves, no-residue cleaner, a sponge or towel, and scissors or a suitable cutting knife.
Clean the mounting area with a no-residue cleaner and wipe away all remaining dirt and debris.
Measure twice. Use a cardboard or paper template if helpful, then score and cut a rough shape with scissors or a suitable knife.
Remove the paper backing. Apply the mat from the middle outwards to reduce trapped air bubbles.
Press the mat firmly into the panel contours and crevices for good adhesion.
Trim excess material where needed and check that the mat is firmly seated.
